What is in store for this year? New construction will be a Premium. New contstruction should have all the "bells and whistles" than the older homes. 2 x 6 exterior walls, energy efficiency, granite everywhere, great floor plans, guest suites etc. This will create a huge demand.
In today's competitive Real Estate Market, timing is everything. Make sure when you are choosing an agent, that they are up-to-date on all current market trends and conditions in your neighborhood.
I pride myself for being ahead of the curve. I have sold homes all across the state, 10 different counties. I have been helping Buyers and Sellers make good decisions on housing since 1980. In that span of time, I have seen many different market trends. To be effective in the ever changing market place, I must be flexible and willing to change and to adapt to the current trends. I do this by specializing in certain areas, mainly Golf Communities in and around Washtenaw County.
Right now, there is a shortage of good homes on the market. New construction is taking off and creating a lot of excitement. Open Houses seem to have more groups coming through, some are tire kickers, and others are trying to determine a good value. Some families want to get moved by Spring , or the start of the next Semester. Others, are being transfered here from many different locations from all around the world.
In todays market, there is a lot of pinned up buying energy, where buyers along with homeowners have sat on the fence for the last couple of years and are waiting for the time to be right to take advantage of the Market Place. If there was ever a time to reposition yourself in the market place, I think it is now. The market is changing rapidly, the supply is lower and the demand is greater. With a lower supply of homes and condo's on the market for sale, prices have some what increased. It seems that "Now is the Time".
